SUMMARY:Crowder College History Symposium Presents: Dr. Michael Powers
DESCRIPTION:The Crowder College History Symposium presents Dr. Michael Powers! His lecture will continue the History Symposium series of speakers on October 24 at 6pm in the Wright Conference Center (601 Laclede Ave.\, Neosho\, MO 64850).\n\n\n\nDr. Powers Lecture Topic: "Burke and Capit n Imboden: The Workings of a Community of Confederate Veterans in Central America."\n\nHis talk will examine the ways former Confederates living in Honduras in the late 19th century participated in coup d' tats and political maneuverings while also striving to become leading industrialists.
