You can dress casually but please wear closed toe shoes to tour the factory.\n \n\n \n\nJob Description:\n\nSummary of Job Description \n\nThis is a physically demanding\, fast-paced job involving independent or team-based work to hand-build quality upholstered furniture. Drive\, urgency\, and self-motivation are needed to meet daily production goals. The role requires standing for long periods\, lifting and moving at least 50 lbs\, and using hands to grip\, pull\, and handle materials. Comfort with power tools\, framing\, and staple guns is essential.\n\nJOB RESPONSIBILITIES\n\n\n Work in a team atmosphere\n Perform any position within the cell as needed\n Proper use of Kan Ban containers\n\n\nUpholster:\n\n\n Knock down all sharp corners of frame\n Use of staple gun to staple materials\n Use of hammer to insert tack strip\, panels\, etc\n Use of staple puller to retract improper staples\n Use of additional air tools to assemble components as necessary (drill\, hog ring gun\, hot glue gun\, etc.)\n Ability to assemble furniture components by upholstery notes within specifications\n\n\nFrame:\n\n\n Use of frame gun to staple materials\n Proper glue and/or wax application per specification\n Use of additional air tools to assemble components as necessary (drill\, crimping gun\, chisel tool\, etc)\n Use of glue scraper for proper clean up\n\n\nCushion Process:\n\n\n Validate unit cover to ticket in each batch\n Coordinate work flow in cell\n Insert stuffing materials into cover components\n Use of machine to seal and quilt\n Use of staple gun to staple materials\n\n\nFinal Assembly:\n\n\n Assemble components into completed unit\n Use of staple gun to staple materials\n Use of additional air tools to assemble components as necessary (drill\, tack gun\, etc.)\n Oil mechanism as required by specification\n Scan ticket to show unit complete\n\n\n \n\nPackaging:\n\n\n Use of staple gun to staple materials\n Use of additional air tools to assemble components as necessary (drill\, frame gun\, crimp gun\, etc.)\n Use of banding and up ender equipment\n Use of tape gun to properly secure packaging materials\n Apply ticket to finished package in proper location\n Move unit to alternate location as needed\n\n\n \n\nJOB REQUIREMENTS:\n\n\n Equivalent combination of education and experience to perform the above duties\n Basic reading and writing skills\n Completion of in-house training curriculum\n Basic computer skills\n Strong coordination for routine\, repetitive tasks\n Ability to stand for up to 10 hours per day with frequent bending\, twisting\, and reaching\n Capacity to push\, pull\, and lift a minimum of 50 lbs\n Skilled use of hands for gripping\, pulling\, and tugging\n\n\n \n\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None\n\n \n\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:\n\nStrong coordination for routine\, repetitive tasks.
